Excel-to-Reach: Import New Numbers, Send Messages Without Stress

Written on October 5, 2025

Many teams start with a simple Excel (CSV) file. MesejiMasta lets you import fresh numbers, build segments, send via WhatsApp, and make sure messages land using an SMS fallback—without stress.

  1. Import Numbers (Excel/CSV)

Simple structure:

phone,name,tags
+255700000001,Jane Doe,VIP,new
+255700000002,John A.,promo-a

2) Segment Smartly

Use tags such as VIP, Returning, Dar-es-Salaam, or promo-a—whatever helps you target precisely.

Filters: tags, last seen, custom fields.

Prioritize relevance so messages stay welcome, not noisy.

3) Compose Messages (Template + Personalization)

Example (WhatsApp template):

Hello {name}! 👋
You’re invited to our new offer. Tap to view details:
{link}

Add media (R2 + CDN) for images/flyers.

Routing: Try WhatsApp first, then SMS fallback if WA is unreachable.

<Callout type="ok"> Use <strong>R2 + CDN</strong> with <em>presigned URLs</em>

so media loads fast and securely—no origin exposure. </Callout>

4) Send with SMS Fallback (Automatic)

The system attempts WhatsApp → SMS for contacts who didn’t get WA.

We handle throttling and retries to maintain deliverability quality.

5) Measure & Iterate

Delivered / Read / Fallback used

CTR (via short links + UTM)

Export to BI or keep A/B testing for the best-performing variant.
